Dozens of Tires Slashed During Vehicle Vandalisms in Berkeley

BERKELEY (KRON)--Police say that the tires on more than 70 vehicles have been slashed in an apparent vandalism spree in South Berkeley and Oakland earlier this week.

According to police, the vandalism occurred overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday. Police say there were 61 reports of slashed tires in Berkeley and 13 in Oakland.
 
In Berkeley, tires were slashed on vehicles on a 17-block stretch of California Street from 62nd Street to Blake Street. Vehicles in the 1600 block of Julida Street, the 1500 block of Russell Street and multiple blocks of King Street were also targeted.
