SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A pedestrian remains in critical condition after a shuttle bus struck him in the crosswalk at Eddy and Leavenworth in San Francisco's Tenderloin District.
Surveillance video from a nearby store that you'll see only on KRON 4 and KRON4.com you can see the man, using a cane, take several steps into the intersection when the bus made a right-hand turn and ran him over. It appears the victim never saw the bus coming.
It took about 20 minutes for fire crews to extract the victim from under the bus.
One ambulance took the pedestrian to the hospital. Another medical unit was called to treat the driver of the bus who appeared to have some difficulties in the minutes after the accident. No one else on the bus was injured.
