News anchor Mark Danon appears weekdays on The KRON 4 Morning News. He joined  KRON 4 in January 2002.

Since joining KRON 4 Mark has helped launch the station s revolutionary weather presentation.  KRON4 was the first station to provide viewers with a 7 Day forecast, and the first to give detailed daily forecasts for the coast, bay and inland microclimates around the bay area.

Mark joined KRON4 from WCBS-TV in New York where he was the station s chief meteorologist. On the network level, Mark has worked as meteorologist and fill-in host for "CBS Saturday Morning," and has appeared on "CBS This Morning," and "The Early Show" with Bryant Gumbel.

Mark has a Bachelor of Science degree from the Florida State University, with a major in meteorology and minors in mathematics and communications. He is a member of the American Meteorological Society and holds the AMS television seal of approval.

Mark and his wife Dana are proud of their work with the Bay Area Make-A-Wish foundation over the past 5 years.  As parents they are passionate about the notion that there is no greater gift than bringing happiness to a child.
