POSITION: ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE                     

DEPARTMENT: SALES 

REPORTS TO: LOCAL SALES MANAGERS

HOURS: 40 HOURS PER WEEK+

POSTING DATE: May 29, 2012 (POSITION IS OPEN UNTIL FILLED)

 

KRON4, the Bay Areas Local News Station, seeks an Account Executive to join our successful new business team.

 

Position will sell established quarterly initiatives which include: 

• Category specific sales programs

• New half-hour locally produced programs

• Combination programs featuring long form, short form and web

If you are an individual living in the Bay Area; tired of micro-management; and your current work does not provide you with a creative environment you must apply.

Candidates should have demonstrable outside sales experience.  A customer-focused sales orientation, the ability to work independently, and a strong work ethic are all necessary for success.  Strong presentation skills need to be part of your skill set. 

This is a full-time, non-union, exempt position.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Experience in advertising or production sales with a successful track record preferred

• Effective writing, presentation, and negotiation skills

• Strong experience and proven track record in new business development required

• Knowledge of other media and new technology preferred

• Provide own reliable automotive transportation

• Needs to be very organized, resourceful and self-starter

• College degree preferred

• Ideal candidate will epitomize the following characteristics: Self-starting, hard working, positive attitude, versatility, efficiency

• Management reserves the discretion to add or modify job duties as required
