  NOTICE OF JOB OPENING

 POSITION:                            VIDEO JOURNALIST/LIVE VAN OPERATOR  (2 positions)

DEPARTMENT:                    NEWS

REPORTS TO:                     NEWS DIRECTOR

POSTING DATE:                  June 14, 2012 (POSITION IS OPEN UNTIL FILLED)

THIS WILL BE A REGULAR, FULL-TIME, UNION POSITION.

RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS:
 
    •    Must have a minimum of three years of daily television news experience in shooting and reporting stories
    •    Must have a minimum of three years experience operating a live van
    •    A superior ability to originate, research, write, shoot, produce and edit stories
    •    Ability to work well with people in a high-pressure environment
    •    Willingness and interest in experimenting in new ways to tell stories
    •    Position may require employee to work early morning or late-night shift
    •    Applicants should submit a current resume and references
    •    Ideal candidates must be self-starters, hard workers, have great attitudes, be versatile, and efficient
    •    Management reserves the discretion to add or modify job duties as required
