SAN RAFAEL (KRON) -- San Rafael Police are looking for more potential victims of alleged sexual misconduct involving a teacher at an elite Marin County private school. The school reported the allegations involving a teacher at the Marin Academy which took place 30 years ago to police this week.
The unidentified male teacher worked at the school for 35 years and was terminated this summer after admitting his involvement in the misconduct to school administrators.
Head of School Travis Brownley tells KRON 4's Terisa Estacio that Marin Academy officials conducted an independent investigation which led to the termination of the teacher. The reported acts involved three female students in the 1980's.
"It’s inappropriate misconduct that we consider a serious betrayal of trust," she said.
Police are encouraging anyone with information about the case to contact local authorities.
