Two-Alarm Fire in San Jose Injures Firefighter, Displaces 18 Residents

SAN JOSE (BCN)--18 residents are displaced and two people are injured in a two-alarm fire in San Jose, said a fire dispatcher.
     
Firefighters had the Wednesday morning fire at 671 Yolo Court under control by 6:14 a.m., according to fire officials.
     
One firefighter was burned by the fire and transported to the hospital, sources told KRON 4's Will Tran at the scene.
     
Captain Reggie William told Tran that firefighters conducted a thorough search of the structure and they are confident that everyone got out.  One resident was treated for smoke inhalation, fire officials said.
     
San Jose fire officials received initial reports of the fire at 4:28 a.m. and upgraded the fire to a two-alarm at 4:36 a.m., the dispatcher said.
     
The American Red Cross responded to the scene to assist the 18 people displaced by the fire.
     
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, fire officials said.
