SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Tickets to see the San Francisco Giants play in the World Series aren't cheap but wait until you see how much it will cost you to park your car within walking distance of AT&T Park.
KRON 4's Scott Rates visited several parking facilities near the ballpark. Alex Shapiro of Ace Parking on Townsend says on a normal day it will cost you $17 to park in his facility but during the World Series, "most likely between $100 to $125. I would also say that it's probably cheaper to get a parking ticket on the curb but business is business."
Scott checked out
ParkWhiz.com
where Tuesday afternoon parking spots were available a little further away at $55-$78 apiece.
Part of the message of the high parking prices is that the city would prefer you to use public transportation. Muni will be running extra buses and trains. More taxis will be in the area than during a regular season game and more bicycle parking will also be available. If you do luck into finding street parking, make sure you have enough coins in the machine because DPT says it will be cracking down on violators.
