KRON -- This season's flu is being officially classified as "widespread," according to officials with the State Department of Public Health.

Two deaths due to influenza were reported this week. One was in Santa Clara County in a patient over 65 years-of-age, and another in the Inland Empire in a person under the age of 65. That brings the total deaths caused by the flu to five this year in California.

There is still plenty of flu vaccine available, public health officials say, even though there may be "spot shortages" in certain areas.

If you want to find out where the flu vaccine is available, go to www.flu.gov where you can find a list of places offering the vaccine in your zip code.
