ANTIOCH (KRON) – Antioch police say that a shooting took place Monday in a neighborhood where three people were arrested for firing a gun this weekend, and three shootings happened last week.

Authorities responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 12:37 p.m. in the area of Mahogany Way at Mandarin Way which is one block away from Sycamore Drive where recent shootings have happened.
As officers arrived on scene, they located the victim in the garage of a nearby residence.

The victim, a 23-year-old Antioch man, had a single gunshot wound to the neck but was awake and alert, police said. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Evidence of the shooting was later located at the corner of Mahogany Way and Mandarin Way. Police are now investigating the circumstances of the incident.

On Sunday, police say that three men driving around were firing a gun in the air. Antioch police chased the car and arrested all three.
It's unclear at this time if these incidents are related. Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to call the Antioch Police Department at (925)778-2441.
