In a time of economic turmoil, many of the men and women who create the blogs, wikis, applications, and other technologies that continue to make the Internet easier to use and more useful for all of us see this as a period of great opportunity. Hundreds of people gathered in San Francisco during the first week of April to share ideas and strategies for the future using Web 2.0 technologies. The Web 2.0 movement is based on the premise that the user decides when, where, and how she or he gets information and shares it with those in their circles of influence.
