CONTRA COSTA COUNTY (BCN) -- Investigators are working to identify two men involved in an Alamo home invasion robbery in which a woman was choked until she lost consciousness.
Deputies responded to a report of a burglary at about noon in the first block of Jennifer Lane in the community of Alamo.
The woman told investigators she was in her front yard when she noticed two men in a car, possibly a gold 1980s Toyota Camry, acting suspiciously, according to the sheriff's office.
The woman said she went inside her home when her dogs started to bark, but was soon confronted by a man who choked her until she passed out. When she regained consciousness, her 2004 Lexus sport utility vehicle was gone, sheriff's officials said.
The victim suffered minor injuries in the attack.
Sheriff's deputies searched the neighborhood using a K-9 unit, according to the sheriff's office. The victim's Lexus was recovered, but neither suspect was located.
One suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s, around 5 feet 8 inches tall with long hair and a moustache. He was wearing a white T-shirt, dark pants and work boots. Investigators do not have a description of the second suspect.
Anyone with information on the robbery or any suspicious activity is asked to contact the Contra Costa County sheriff's office at (925) 646-2441.
