SANTA ROSA, Calif. (AP) - Four people are headed to prison for beating and humiliating two developmentally disabled men at a Santa Rosa skate park.
Prosecutors say the four participated in the brutal April attack at Fulton Skatepark, which involved robbing the victims, urinated on them and forcing them to perform sex acts. They pleaded guilty or no contest in October to various charges including robbery, assault and kidnapping.
Nineteen-year-old Reid Rogers got the harshest punishment - he was sentenced Monday in Sonoma County Superior Court to 23 years and eight months in prison. His co-defendants - Pierre Jacques Guidry Jr., Bryan Stanley and Mark Echemendia - got sentences ranging from eight to 15 years.
A fifth defendant, Fredrick Caddell Jr., is still waiting to be sentenced.
