CONCORD (BCN) -- A man who was shot to death in Concord on Monday evening has been identified as 18-year-old Diego Lopez-Wood.
According to Capt. Jim Lardier, Lopez-Wood, a Concord resident, was with a group of friends when a car approached them in the 1800 block of Mayette Avenue at about 5:20 p.m.
Words were exchanged between Lopez-Wood's group and the group inside the car and then someone in the car shot Lopez-Wood. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Lardieri said.
The car, which was occupied by four males, is described as a light-colored, older-model, four-door sedan.
