SAN JOSE (BCN) – Police say a 19-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murdering another young woman who was found lying in the middle of an Alviso-area street Monday in San Jose.
Police pulled over Jennifer Bautista, 19, at about 10:40 a.m. Wednesday as she was driving near Tully Road and South Seventh Street, Officer Jermaine Thomas said.
She was initially detained for questioning and was subsequently arrested. Thomas said she will be booked into the Santa Clara County jail tonight for the murder of 20-year-old Norma Leticia Martinez.
Martinez was found injured in front of Our Lady Star of the Sea church at 1385 Michigan Ave. at about 6:45 a.m. Monday. She died later at a hospital.
Police said it appears Martinez was pulled along the street by a vehicle for at least a block, but it is unclear whether she was dragged or was holding onto the car.
Thomas did not disclose a motive in the alleged murder.
Martinez's older sister said Tuesday that the suspect and victim were involved in an on-again off-again romantic relationship and had recently broken up.

| I'm am so glad they finally got Jennifer. as a friend and one of her neighbors im trully going to miss leti. jennifer took leti from us too soon. it wasn't time for leti to leave us. now god has one of our angels. we are all going to miss leti so much! she will be missed but never forgotten! rest in the heavens leti, like the angel you are! |

| Im so glad they have found her, the family needs to know why and what really went on that morning. Its real sad that this has happend. Its about time that she was found she needs to say her side of the story and be held accountable for what happen that morning. We lost a a wonderful person when Leti died. RIP LETTI you will never be forgotten |
