Alameda gas station robbery caught on camera

ALAMEDA (KRON) - According to the Alameda Police Department, just before 3 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, four suspects -- three males and one female -- approached the Valero gas station along Park Street in Alameda.

The store was closed at the time.

The suspects then smashed a window near the front of the building and at least three of them entered the store.

They can then be seen running around the store and quickly grabbing as much as they can carry.

One suspect checks the cash register, which appears to be empty, and the female begins stuffing items into a backpack.

In all, the three culprits were inside the store for less than a minute.

They exited the building and can be seen fleeing into the night.

On Wednesday afternoon, the owners of the gas station were unavailable for comment.

Customers told us they were surprised by the break in but that it wouldn't deter them from coming here.

So far, police have not identified these suspects and it's unclear exactly what was taken from the store.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Alameda Police Department at 510-337-8340.
