Fans cheer on Warriors at Alameda Theatre watch party

ALAMEDA (KRON) - The Alameda Theatre off Central Avenue turned one of their theaters on Monday night into the ultimate big screen game watching experience.

"It's so cool, it's really neat. It's so much better than watching it at home. You got to come out and support the team. This is the best way to watch the game," said a fan.

Tickets are $5 and the money raised is donated to help local youth sports.

This is the fourth playoff season the theater is doing this.

"We do it for the kids. The first three years, we raised $60,000 and we put it into Knights basketball courts for the underprivileged kids here," said Bob Shannon, watch party host.

The fans are confident that the Rockets will not stand in out way of another championship.

"Yeah we're going to win," said one fan.

"It's going to be close but I think we're going to win. We are going to win for sure," said another.

"Oh we are going to win. I'm confident we will win," said another fan.

The Alameda Theatre will be doing it all again on Wednesday for Game 2.

Doors open at 5 p.m. and tickets are $5.
