VALLEJO (KRON) -- Police arrested the 27-year-old boyfriend of a woman who was found badly beaten Thursday night in Vallejo.
At around 9:25 p.m., officers responded to reports of a domestic dispute at a vacant property located on the 400 block of Wallace Ave., police said.
When officers arrived, they found a woman severely beaten lying in the driveway of the home.
According to police, the suspect fled the scene after hearing sirens.
Officers were able to find the suspect a short distance away with the help of a K9 unit.
The 47-year-old victim was transported to the Fairfield Trauma Center where she later died of blunt force trauma.
Police say the suspect allegedly beat the victim using his hands and feet.
The identity of the victim is being withheld until the next of kin are notified.
The suspect's identity is expected to be released within the next 48 hours, police said.
