Four arrested after stolen car found in Pleasanton

PLEASANTON (KRON)---Four people were arrested Thursday night after police found them in a stolen car Thursday night in Pleasanton, according to police.

An officer was patrolling near South Valley Trails Drive near Yellowstone Court around 8:30 p.m. when he saw a car that was stolen last month from Hayward.

Two officers came up to the car for a probation search and arrested the four people inside on a variety of offenses, police said.

Antonio Ortega, 27, of Pleasanton was on probation and wanted on suspicion of having drug paraphernalia and allegedly possessing a methamphetamine pipe.

Robert Maynard, 27, of Livermore was wanted on suspicion of stealing a car and on probation for allegedly carrying methamphetamine.

Joseph Murray, 25, of San Jose was allegedly carrying cocaine.

Mariana Coons, 26, of Livermore was allegedly carrying stolen credit cards and was on probation.

All four people were taken to the Santa Rita Jail.

Police are still investigating the car theft.

No suspects have been identified any suspects in connection to stealing the car.
