PANAMA (KRON) -- A magnitude 5.9 earthquake struck near the Panama-Colombia border Tuesday at 5:10 Pacific Daylight Time, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The USGS said it was centered near La Palma, Panama, 26 kilometers south-southwest of Acandi, Colombia.
The earthquake had a depth of six miles, according to the USGS. The earthquake is not expected to generate a tsunami.
