VIDEO: Portland woman gets letter threatening to abduct, rape her

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A Portland woman received a disgusting and threatening letter she hopes is just some kind of sick joke.

Police are investigating the letter, which at least two women received.

"When I started reading it, I was like, 'oh...'" one of the women, who did not want to be identified, told KOIN 6 News. "What I really thought, you can't say on TV."

The letter is from a man who identifies himself as Andre, who says he has been tracking the woman for days and she is his next "project."

"...I love to spy and rape women and rob people for fun. I normally just rob people and torture them with this unbelievable weapon I stole from the government that allows me to perform some of the most evil shit that any one could possibly imagine.

"Women know we always have to be concerned about our safety," the woman said.

The letter even references an actual missing persons case from Portland and an unsolved homicide out of Vancouver.

"Disturbing," the woman said. "I mean that's the first think you think of. The language used about his enjoyment of torture... it just can't be ignored."

She doesn't know why she got this letter but she's urging anyone else who gets one to come forward.

"If other women are getting this letter, they need to know they're not alone," she said. "That the community is there for them."
