PITTSBURG (KRON) -- Police have identified the suspect who sexually assaulted a male juvenile with Downs Syndrome at an East Bay BART station on Saturday night.

According to Alicia Trost of the BART police, 38-year-old Peter Gorlorwulu followed a male victim on October 29th around 9:50 p.m. into the bathroom and conducted sexual lewd acts.

Police said the victim, who has not been identified due to being a minor, was transported to Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo for examination of possible sexual assault.

Gorlorwulu was still on the scene at the Pittsburg Bay Point BART station when officers arrested him at 10:20 p.m., according to Trost.

All bathrooms at the Pittsburg Bay Point Bart station are single-use bathrooms with locks, but users should always be aware of their surroundings when using the facilities at the stations Trost said.

If something were to happen riders are encouraged to notify a BART employee or call the BART police at 510-464-7000 in cases of emergencies.

Gorlorwulu was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for committing lewd acts on a child/dependent person. Police have charged him with sodomy with a victim under 16, oral copulation with a victim under 16 and lewd act with a child.
