Police looking for 10 people involved in UC Berkeley assault

Sherae Honeycutt, Vince Cestone - BERKELEY (KRON) -- UC Berkeley police are looking for 10 people involved in an assault Sunday night.

Police said four students were driving up to Grizzly Peak to check out the view. When they stopped at a signpost, they said they saw three cars.

Police said one of the men in the group approached the students. Two of the students were hit with a pistol and the man demanded their property.

The students were able to drive away without giving up their wallets. Police said the suspects are a mix of men and women, both Latino and black.

One of the cars they were driving was a white, early 90s Thunderbird, police said. The other car was black or dark blue, and an early 2000s BMW 3 Series.

The other car was an unknown newer black or blue sedan.
