San Jose police arrest North White Road murder suspect, victims shot in car

UPDATE: Lozano has been arrested.

SAN JOSE (KRON) -- San Jose police have identified the man accused of shooting two people on North White Road, killing one Monday night, according to Ofc. Albert Morales.

The murder suspect has been identified as 19-year-old Alexander Lozano, of San Jose.

Two males suffering from gunshot wounds arrived at Regional Medical Center of San Jose at 6:18 p.m Monday, Morales said.

Both were shot while in a car, police said.

One of the victims, a 16-year-old boy, was pronounced dead shortly afterward. The second victim, an 18-year-old man, did not suffer life-threatening injuries, police said.

Both victims are San Jose residents.

Investigators said the shooting happened on the 200 block of North White Road in East San Jose, but the motive and circumstances remain under investigation.

Lozano will be charged with homicide and assault with a deadly weapon.

The motive is under investigation.
