James Fletcher is the anchor of the KRON4 Morning News. He joined the KRON4 team in January 2002 as a freelance writer and quickly rose through the ranks to become a senior producer, managing a number of newscasts including the KRON4 Morning News and KRON4 News Weekend.

During his tenure he also helped produced live broadcasts of high-profile events such as “Bay to Breakers”, “The S.F. Pride Parade” and “Carnaval San Francisco Parade.”

In 2007, James joined the on-air team serving various rolls including breaking news reporter, 4 AM anchor, and weathercaster. James joined Darya on the anchor desk in 2017 to helm the morning show from 5 AM – 10 AM.

Prior to KRON4, James was the main evening anchor for the NBC station in Chico (KNVN-TV). During his time there, he also served as morning anchor, weathercaster and reporter.

James graduated from the Edward R. Murrow College of Broadcasting at Washington State University. He lives in the East Bay with his wife, two children and their dog, Ollie.
