John Shrable

Meteorologist John Shrable joins you Monday through Friday on the KRON4 Morning News from 4-10 AM.  Growing up in Montana, John’s fascination with the weather started at a young age leading him to pursue a degree in communications from Harding University.

John further achieved his Certification in Broadcast Meteorology from Penn State University in May of 2018.

Prior to KRON4, John was the morning meteorologist at Casper Wyoming’s KTWO-TV where he was awarded Best Weathercaster by the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters.  John next spent three years in Fresno at Nexstar affiliate KSEE-24 as weekend meteorologist and environmental reporter.  While there he was awarded for his coverage of the toll the state’s drought took on Central Valley agriculture, familiarizing himself with the changing climate of the state.

Having called California home for 7 years now, John enjoys exploring everything from the coast up and down Hwy 1 to summer and winter days on the slopes of the Sierra Nevada.

He is glad to call the Bay Area home and encourages viewers to connect with him on social media or just to say hello if you see him out and about in the city.
