Supporters of Asm. Kevin Kiley gathered in Lincoln for election night

California Recall Election

LINCOLN, Calif. (KTXL) — More than 100 supporters of Assemblyman Kevin Kiley gathered Tuesday in a Placer County night ballroom to support the assemblyman, many enjoying dinner and drinks.

Most went home by 11 p.m.

Kiley arrived at Oliver’s Brewhouse and Grill at around 7:20 p.m. taking about 90 minutes to shake hands and talk with those who came out, also taking time to speak with members of the media.

At around 9:15, Kiley took the stage speaking to the crowd in a speech that was anything but a concession speech.

FOX40 asked Kiley if he plans on running for governor in the future.

“Honestly, I haven’t thought about what I am going to have for breakfast tomorrow morning,” Kiley responded. “We have been working as hard as we possibly can to reach every single voter… and I will tell you this, that I am in the fight here for the long haul as I know so many of the other people who have been part of this movement are.”

He shared the same sentiment at the end of his speech.

“So my friends, have a glass of wine and get a good night’s rest,” Kiley said. “Rest up, relax, recharge and then get ready because the fight for California’s future has only just begun.”
