KRON4 Morning Buzz: Warriors get ready to take on Trail Blazers

Morning Buzz

The Warriors are ready to take on the Trail Blazers in Oakland, but Kevin Durant is not.

So they’re going with the core group that got them here — Steph, Klay, Igg, Dray, Bogut, and the bench managed to finish off the Rockets, so hopefully they can do it again.

We don’t know when KD’s coming back. Coach Kerr says Durant is still in pain and these things take time, same with DeMarcus Cousins.

Kerr says at this point, they’re getting ready for the entire series without both of them.

Tip off is at 6 p.m. in Oakland.

The Western Conference Finals in hockey are already two games in and Joe Pavelski escaped unscathed — no lost teeth, no concussion, but the Sharks did not get the win.

Logan Couture scored two goals, but the Saint Louis Blues doubled that take Game 2 — so the series is tied now at one a piece.

Not everyone can give birth to royalty, but a lot of people are annointing their babies by naming them Khaleesi, after the mother of dragons on “Game of Thrones.”

It means “queen” in Dothraki.

A total 560 baby girls were named Khaleesi last year, making it 549th most popular name for girls in the U.S.

163 people went with Khaleesi’s real name — Daenarys, for their newborn.

The most popular “Game of Thrones”-related name is Arya, which jumped from #942 in 2010 to #119 in 2018.

The more traditional spelling of the name, Aria, is currently the country’s 19th most popular name.
