ROCKVILLE Md. (KRON) — Dozens of dogs are getting a fresh start, after being rescued from a South Korean Meat Market.

According to Humane Society International officials, 31 dogs were rescued and brought back to the U.S. after being mistreated and abused by people part of the meat market.

The farm where the animals were residing was shut down after authorities discovered the facility was operating without a license.

All of the animals can be seen playing and getting their first bubble bath as their first stop was in Maryland. Shortly after the animals will be heading to an animal shelter in North Carolina, where they will be placed for adoption.
