7.0 magnitude earthquake strikes Yelizovo, Russia

YELIZOVO, Russia (KRON) — A 7.0 magnitude earthquake has hit Yelizovo, Russia Saturday, the United States Geological Survey has confirmed.

The quake struck 95 kilometers (59 miles) north of Yelizovo, the USGS said. It hit just after 7:25 p.m. Friday Pacific Standard Time (3:25 p.m. Saturday local time).
