Airline routes effected by grounding Boeing 737 Max 8, 9

With the Boeing 737 Max 8 and 9 aircraft being grounded on Wednesday, flights operated by Southwest, American and United airlines are being affected.

There are 34 Max 8 flights for Southwest and 24 for American. United Airlines uses 14 Max 9 aircrafts.

Here is a list of routes that are being affected by those airlines:

Southwest Airlines

  • Minneapolis – Denver
  • Los Angeles – Oakland
  • Phoenix – Cleveland
  • St. Louis – New Orleans
  • Nashville – Los Angeles
  • Denver – Atlanta
  • Dallas – Albuquerque
  • Chicago – Las Vegas
  • Orlando – Oakland
  • Phoenix – San Francisco
  • San Diego – Portland
  • Indianapolis – Denver
  • Fort Lauderdale – Houston

American Airlines:

  • New York – Miami
  • Miami – Orlando
  • Washington D.C. (Reagan) – Miami
  • Miami – Curacao
  • Barbados – Miami
  • Miami – Trinidad and Tobago

United Airlines:

  • Houston – Orlando
  • San Francisco – Maui
  • Houston – Los Angeles
  • San Francisco – Houston
  • Houston – Cancun, Mexico
  • Fort Lauderdale –  Houston

If your route is listed, that does not necessarily mean that your flight is on a Max 8 or 9 aircraft.
