A total 16 people — five adults and 11 teenagers ages 15 to 17 — were arrested in connection with several violent robberies, carjackings, and burglaries in San Jose.
According to the San Jose Police Department, a large-scale operation was conducted last week targeting a violent criminal gang responsible for the series of crimes.
Police say the crew was responsible for crimes including 7 robberies, 6 carjackings, 10 burglaries, assault with a deadly weapon and various other weapon offenses which they were arrested for last week.
Police say the five adults arrested — identified as Alexis Anaya, Jessica Bustos, Diego Diaz, Antonio Gutierrez, and Anwar Mohammad — were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.
The teenagers were booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall on multiple charges including robbery, carjacking, assault with a deadly weapon, and burglary.
