Here is the full statement from the Miramonte High School Principal's Office:
It is with great sadness that I communicate a loss in our Miramonte community. Yesterday, a beloved teacher's 19-month old daughter passed away unexpectedly. While, out of respect for the privacy of the family, I have no further information to communicate at this time, the passing of a child is always a devastating tragedy. Miramonte is grieving as we process this news.
Support is in place for students in our Wellness Center and plans are being made by leadership to ensure a community of love during this challenging time. Miramonte is a family and we will be leaning on each other to support our friend, colleague, and teacher. It is in times like these that the best parts of us can flourish.
