During a DUI checkpoint in Rohnert Park on Friday, a total of seven drivers were arrested, two of which were for DUI, according to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.

The DUI checkpoint was conducted on East Cotati Avenue at Santero Way from 8:08 p.m. and 1:11 a.m.

44-year-old Stephanie Dill from Rohnert Park was one of the two arrested for DUI. This was her fourth arrest for DUI in four years, meaning this arrest is a felony.

The second person arrested for DUI was 64-year-old Richard Flournoy from Santa Rosa. He was also suspected of bringing narcotics into the Sonoma County Jail which is a felony.

The other five were cited for driving without a license. Four of the drivers were able to leave after a licensed driver came to get their cars. The fifth driver had to have their car towed as no one was available to pick it up.

During the checkpoint, a total of 833 cars went through but 819 were screened. Of the screened cars there were only 39 who officers evaluated for DUI or checked to confirm their driver’s license status.

A grant that was provided to the Department of Public Safety from the California Office of Traffic Safety was what made the checkpoint possible.
