We hope you enjoyed the beautiful and sunny weather while it lasted, because the Bay Area is in for quite a change in conditions for the next several days!
A series of three powerful late-season storms are expected to soak the Bay Area through the middle of next week.
The first storm is forecast for today, bringing light rain in the morning which will increase in intensity into the afternoon and evening.
Heavy rain and gusty winds will develop across the Bay in the afternoon, making for a wet evening commute.
The heaviest rain is expected in the North Bay coastal mountains, with upwards of two inches forecast Wednesday and Thursday.
Wind gusts of 40mph or more are also possible near the coast and coastal mountains.
Be on the lookout as some trees and powerlines could come down.
Thunderstorms are possible from Wednesday afternoon and continuing into Thursday.
The second storm will arrive late Saturday, with more heavy rain possible. That includes showers and thunderstorms on Sunday to finish out the weekend.
It’s a little early to tell, but current models forecast the third storm potentially bringing more rain on Tuesday and possibly Wednesday of next week.
