4 arrested in San Jose crime spree

SAN JOSE (KRON) - Four people have been arrested in a San Jose crime spree on Thursday evening, police said.

At around 5:36 p.m., police got a call about a suspicious car on Bird Avenue near Minnesota. When officers arrived, they found a blue Honda Odyssey parked on Bird. Nobody was inside the car.

Police found the car was stolen and involved in a carjacking, robbery, and other crimes throughout the day.

As officers were investigating the scene, a silver Mitsubishi Endeavor with four suspects inside was driving in the area. Officers noticed the car was involved in another carjacking earlier in the day.

Police tried to stop the Mitsubishi, but the driver sped away. Police chased the car until it pulled over in the 1500 block of Prevost Street.

Officers arrested three of the four suspects immediately, but the fourth suspect ran away, police said.

Police established a perimeter and found the suspect, who surrendered to the police.

Three men and one woman were arrested.

They are thought to be linked to multiple carjackings, robberies, and attempted robberies throughout San Jose.
