SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Several Bay Area communities are hosting public observances in remembrance of the Holocaust throughout this week. The events are being held for Yom HaShoah V’HaGevurah, or, “The Day of (Remembrance of) the Holocaust and the Heroism.”
The first event of the week happened Tuesday at San Jose State University. Several events will be going on Wednesday and Thursday, including ceremonies at UC Davis, in Berkeley and Contra Costa County on Thursday.
