Bay Area’s Smash Mouth calls out ‘glorified mascot’ Drake

Bay Area

We all know Drake can become quite animated when he’s spotted courtside at basketball games, supporting his beloved Toronto Raptors.

Well now that the Raptors will soon face the Warriors in the NBA Finals, some people are calling out the rapper to make sure he stays in his lane once he gets to the Bay.

San Jose-based band Smash Mouth, who you may remember for 90s hits like “All Star, tweeted some words of advice to Drake on Sunday.

Yo @drake When the ball is in-play sit the FCK down! That aint gonna fly in Oakland! #GlorifiedMascot @warriors @Raptors @NBA @E40” the band tweeted, along with a screengrab of Drake courtside in a purple getup.

Drake has yet to respond to Smash Mouth’s comment.

Til then, the NBA Finals kick off in Toronto on May 30.
