ORINDA, Calif. (KRON) — A police cruiser crashed through a Wells Fargo building early Friday morning in Orinda.

The crash occurred just after midnight at Moraga Way and Camino Pablo near the Orinda Theatre Square shopping center. Video above, taken by KRON4 Sports Reporter Kate Rooney, shows several first responders at the scene.

The police cruiser was towed away around 1 a.m. and is back at the police station. Repair crews arrived at the scene early Friday morning to try to fix the extensive damage.

Wells Fargo was closed at the time of the crash and is expected to reopen at 9 a.m.

The cause of the crash is currently unknown but unconfirmed reports say a police chase may have been the reason for the crash. No injuries were reported.
