CONCORD (KRON) — A bowling alley at the Sun Valley Mall in Concord is seeing more crime, most recently with an armed robbery at Round 1 Bowling.

The venue has been at the center of two recent violent incidents and now this time — an armed robbery.

Two suspects entered Round 1 Bowling and Amusement in Concord, one armed with a gun.

According to Concord police investigators, the suspects tied up employees in the safe room and took the cash.

The robbery occurred shortly after midnight. Investigators told KRON4 they have surveillance video and that they are checking in for any leads on possible suspects.

This robbery comes on the heels of two previous high profile violent incidents at Round 1 involving groups of people fighting, inside the bowling alley back in April and another brawl two weeks later in the parking lot of the Sun Valley Mall.

Pepper spray was reportedly used in each incident. Now the violence has escalated to an armed robbery.

Some patrons say they are concerned.

“They don’t have proper security, cameras or lighting. Sometimes things like that can happen,” said one customer.

Police have limited information on the two suspects who described as wearing black clothing and black masks.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Concord Police.
