Authorities are investigating a stabbing that happened early Saturday morning in Half Moon Bay.
Around 12:24 a.m. the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office received reports of a person in the area of Wave Avenue calling for help.
Deputies arrived to find an adult man had been stabbed multiple times and had cuts on his legs and torso.
The victim told deputies that he had gotten into an altercation with an Asian man between the age of 35 and 40 years old. The suspect is described as being 6-feet tall, 200 pounds, bald, and clean shaven.
The altercation happened near the western end of Wave Ave. by the beach or a field. The altercation led to the suspect stabbing the victim with a knife.
Authorities say the victim did not know the suspect.
The surrounding area was thoroughly searched, according to the sheriff’s department. At this time, no suspect or witnesses have been found.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
