Firefighters work long hours, often sleep deprived to protect communities.
After battling the erratic Carr Fire in Redding, a group of firefighters took a well-deserved nap in a backyard scorched by flames.
Richard Tuggle took the photo, that’s received 80,000 shares on Facebook.
One resident, Brandon Parra wrote, “Thank you for saving my home and running into a fire that the rest of the town is running from.”
Let this photo serve as a reminder of all the hard work crews will be putting in as fire season heats up.
