Fire officials investigate suspicious fires along I-680 in Martinez

MARTINEZ (BCN) — Fire officials in Contra Costa County are still investigating two suspicious fires that broke out early Saturday morning along Interstate 680 in Martinez.

A spokesperson for the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District said Saturday that the two blazes erupted along the freeway between the Benicia Bridge and Pacheco Boulevard.

Firefighters successfully extinguished both fires within minutes.
