Infant ibuprofen sold at CVS, Walmart, Family Dollar recalled

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) - Several brands of infant liquid ibuprofen are being recalled because they may contain higher and potentially more dangerous concentrations of ibuprofen.

Tris Pharma Inc. issued the recall Wednesday, affecting lots sold at Walmart, CVS, and Family Dollar. 

The products were labeled to contain 50 mg of ibuprofen per 1.25 mL. 

The recalled products are packaged in 0.5 oz. bottles and labeled "Infants' Ibuprofen Concentrated Oral Suspension."

Here is how the different recalled products are labeled at the respective stores where they are sold: 

  • Walmart: Equate
  • CVS: CVS Health
  • Family Dollar: Family Wellness

The recalled products bear the following lot numbers: 

  • Walmart: 00717009A, 00717015A, 00717024A
  • CVS: 00717024A
  • Family Dollar:  00717024A

The recalled products are labeled with the following National Drug Code (NDC) numbers: 

  • Walmart: 49035-125-23 
  • CVS: 59779-925-23
  • Family Dollar: 00717024A

At this time Tris Pharma has not received any reports of illness.
