Investigation underway after man dies in San Jose shooting

SAN JOSE (KRON) - San Jose Police are investigating an early morning shooting that has left one person dead. 

Around 1:16 a.m. Sunday morning in the area of Parkmoor Avenue and Race Street, police responded to the shooting.

When police arrived at the scene, an adult man was suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

The victim later died after being taken to a local hospital, according to police.

The victims' identity will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office at a later time. 

There has been no information released on the suspect or suspects. 

This is San Jose's second homicide in 2019.
