Jackknifed big rig causes delays on SB I-680 in Walnut Creek

Bay Area

If you are heading southbound on Interstate-680 on Tuesday afternoon, you may run into some delays after a big rig jackknifed blocking traffic.

The California Highway Patrol in Contra Costa tweeted out a photo of the truck at South Main Street in Walnut Creek.

The department says traffic is moving slowly because the two right slow lanes, or number four and five lanes, are closed.

Officials say that no one was hurt.

CalTrans and tow trucks are on the scene but authorities say it could take a couple of hours to fully reopen the highway.

Expect delays if you are heading in that direction.
