Kevin Durant out for Game 1, ‘unlikely’ for Game 2

Bay Area

Kevin Durant will be missing at least Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Portland Trail Blazers, according to the Golden State Warriors.

The team released an injury report for Tuesday’s game announcing that Kevin Durant, along with DeMarcus Cousins and Damian Jones will not be playing.

Durant suffered a mild strain on his right calf in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Rockets.

According to ESPN, Durant will be re-evaluated on Thursday making it unlikely that he will play Game 2.

When asked about the injury, Steve Kerr wasn’t optimistic about the idea of KD getting back on the court sooner rather than later.
