A San Francisco man has been arrested for repeatedly raping a 74-year-old woman, according to the San Francisco Police Department.
On May 10 around 5 p.m., Ingleside officers arrived at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, where the victim was, to investigate.
The 74-year-old San Francisco resident told officers that she was walking to a friends house earlier that day around 7:40 a.m.
The victim said that is when a man forced her inside a home where he sexually assaulted her for several hours.
That man has been identified as 47-year-old Manuel Amador.
Officials say a dog belonging to Amador’s roommate also bit her multiple times.
Authorities say after the assault, Amador forced the woman from the house and left her on the sidewalk down the street semi-conscious.
A person who passed by contacted authorities and an ambulance was sent out to take the woman to the hospital.
Authorities began investigating and examined the area where the woman had walked that morning.
On May 17, officers served a search warrant at a house on the 1000 block of Prague Street and arrested Amador.
He has been booked at the San Francisco County Jail for multiple charges including rape, assault with a deadly weapon, assault by means likely to cause great bodily injuries, kidnapping, kidnapping for ransom, false imprisonment, battery causing serious bodily injury and elder abuse.
A booking photo of Amador has yet to be released.
