A San Jose man was shot and killed right in front of his own home with his two young children inside, and now, the family and community are calling for justice as police are still looking for the people responsible.

It happened at a home on Raymond Avenue. The community held a candlelight vigil for the slain man on Monday night.

With the latest on the investigation, the community banded together on Monday night remembering the man that did everything for his family.

He and his wife moved into the home soon after she was pregnant with their first child. Eight years later, he was gunned down right in front of that very home.

Frankie Santos Jr., 28, was out with friends on Saturday celebrating the 49ers draft party.

By nightfall, they were back at his Raymond Avenue home.

Family members tell KRON4 just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday, tragedy struck. A vehicle was circling the block, and by the time the friend he was with stepped inside the house, Frankie was shot in the chest and left for dead.

His two young sons are just 8 and 5 years old–and now without their father. He worked six-to-seven days a week to take care of his family.

This is an ongoing investigation.

Right now, there is no suspect description or vehicle.

A GoFundMe has been set up for Santos.
