Four doses of tranquilizers later and the mountain lion in Pleasanton has been safely removed from the bushes.

On Monday evening, a mountain lion in the bushes caused police to close the road to safely remove the animal.

The mountain lion hunkered down at 3825 Hopyard Road.

Police say Hopyard Road remains closed in both directions due to the mountain lion being there.
